Privacy Policy

What this is

Argus Fleet Intelligence ("Argus", "we", "us") operates argus-fleet.com, a carrier-safety analytics dashboard for the U.S. trucking and bus industry. This policy explains what information the service collects and how it is used.

Data we collect

Account data. When you register, we store the email address you provide and a password hash (scrypt, salted — we cannot read your password). We do not store your name, phone number, or payment information.

Fleet data you save. Saved fleets, saved carrier records, and usage history are stored on our servers so they appear on your next visit. This data is tied to your account and is not shared.

Public carrier data. The safety records displayed by Argus (crashes, inspections, violations, ratings) are compiled from public U.S. government datasets published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the Department of Transportation. We do not create this data; we index and present it.

Technical data. Our servers log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and rate-limiting purposes. These logs are retained briefly and are not sold or shared.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not serve advertising. We do not use third-party trackers or analytics networks. We do not share saved fleet data with other users or third parties.

Cookies

Argus uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. It contains a random session token, is HttpOnly, and expires automatically. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.

Data retention & deletion

Account and fleet data is retained until you request deletion. To delete your account or data, contact the address below with the email address used to register.
